The original late-50s Supro Ozark earned its stripes as a legendary, raw rock-and-roll machine and a monster slide guitar used by the likes of Ry Cooder and Joe Perry.

The 2019 Limited Edition takes that historic mojo and supercharges it for today’s player. Built with a resonant mahogany body, it replaces unreliable vintage constraints with a rock-solid, black satin-finished maple neck glued deeply at the 14th fret for endless acoustic resonance. Forget the noise and physical limits of original 1940s electronics. Supro partnered with boutique pickup builders Lace Music to craft a custom Aluma 90 pickup mounted straight to a massive steel control plate. It delivers the exact, high-output, fat-yet-focused midrange punch of the legendary Valco lap steel pickups without a hint of vintage hum. Plug in, crank up the gain, and hear it scream.
