We stand behind the instruments and equipment we sell.
Every item is different, particularly when it is used or vintage, so our first step is always to listen, look at the actual item and find the most sensible solution.
Nothing in this warranty affects your statutory rights.

Your statutory rights

Goods sold by OHV Guitars must be as described, fit for their intended purpose and of satisfactory quality.
What can reasonably be expected from a used or vintage item depends on its age, price, description and condition. Clearly disclosed wear, repairs, modifications or age-related features form part of that description.
Our warranty is additional to these rights and does not replace or restrict them.

New products

Unless otherwise stated, new products include a minimum 12-month OHV Guitars warranty against manufacturing faults.
Some manufacturers provide a longer warranty or require the customer to register the product. Where a longer manufacturer warranty applies, we will provide the available information.

Used and vintage products

Unless otherwise stated in the product listing, used and vintage instruments, amplifiers, effects and other equipment include a three-month OHV Guitars warranty.
This covers faults that were not disclosed when the item was sold and that arise during normal, appropriate use.
The warranty begins on the date of purchase for an item collected from the shop, or the date of delivery for an item sent to the customer.

What the warranty covers

Depending on the item and the nature of the fault, warranty support may include:
* Inspection and diagnosis
* Repair
* Replacement, where a suitable replacement is available
* A price reduction
* A refund where appropriate
The correct remedy will depend on the circumstances and your statutory rights.

What is not normally covered

Our warranty does not normally cover:
* Normal wear and tear
* Strings, batteries, valves, fuses and other consumable parts
* Routine servicing or setup adjustments
* Fret, nut or saddle wear caused through normal use
* Cosmetic wear or age-related features described or photographed before sale
* Accidental damage, impact or liquid damage
* Damage caused by misuse, neglect or unsuitable storage
* Damage caused by extreme heat, cold, dryness or humidity
* Unauthorised modifications or repairs
* Faults caused by incompatible power supplies or accessories
This list does not remove any rights you have where an item was faulty, unsafe, materially misdescribed or not of satisfactory quality when supplied.

Vintage and pre-owned instruments

Vintage instruments often have a long history and may include replacement parts, previous repairs, finish wear, checking, corrosion or other signs of age.
We aim to identify and describe significant issues honestly. Please study the photographs and description and ask us about anything important to you before ordering.
Need an additional photograph, exact measurement, weight or closer inspection? Call us and someone in the shop will check the actual instrument.
A feature or condition clearly disclosed before purchase is not treated as a hidden fault.

Making a warranty claim

Please contact OHV Guitars before arranging any repair or returning an item.
Tell us:
* Your name and order number
* Which item is affected
* What the problem is
* When you first noticed it
* Any troubleshooting already attempted
Photographs or a short video can often help us diagnose the problem quickly.
Where an item needs returning for an accepted fault or warranty assessment, we will explain the process and arrange the appropriate collection.
Please do not send anything back or authorise a third-party repair without our agreement. We cannot normally reimburse unauthorised work or accept responsibility for damage caused during it.

Return carriage for faults

Where goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect or materially misdescribed, OHV Guitars will arrange and pay for the appropriate return within the UK.
If inspection shows that the reported problem was caused by accidental damage, misuse, unauthorised modification or another matter not covered by the warranty, we will discuss any repair and return costs before proceeding.

Manufacturer repairs

Some new products must be inspected or repaired by an authorised manufacturer service centre.
OHV Guitars will remain your point of contact and will help manage the process. Manufacturer repair times and parts availability can vary, but we will keep you informed.
