The Eko Ranger 6 VR EQ Natural brings one of Eko’s best-known acoustic guitar designs back to life, combining distinctive vintage-inspired details with a modern electro-acoustic specification.
Part of Eko’s Vintage Reissue range, the Ranger 6 VR EQ takes its inspiration from the company’s celebrated Ranger guitars of the 1960s. Its full-size dreadnought body features a spruce top with mahogany back and sides, giving the guitar the traditional construction and strong acoustic character associated with the Ranger design.
Classic Eko Ranger Design
Several of the features that gave the original Ranger its unmistakable identity have been retained.
The guitar uses a bolt-on mahogany neck, along with a zero fret and the distinctive rectangular fingerboard position markers. An adjustable aluminium saddle is another unusual period-inspired feature carried over into the Vintage Reissue design.
The South American Roupanà fingerboard has a 14-inch radius and 20 frets, while the 43 mm nut width and Eko Low C neck profile provide familiar dimensions for acoustic guitar players.
A revised vintage-style pickguard completes the classic Ranger appearance.
Spruce and Mahogany Dreadnought Construction
The Eko Ranger 6 VR EQ Natural uses a traditional dreadnought body shape, giving it the size and projection expected from a full-bodied acoustic guitar.
The specification includes:
- Spruce top
- Mahogany back and sides
- Mahogany neck
- South American Roupanà fingerboard
- South American Roupanà bridge
- Gloss body finish
- Gloss neck finish
The guitar has a 650 mm scale length, 43 mm nut width and 20 silver/nickel frets.
Fishman Sonitone Electronics
For amplified playing, the Ranger 6 VR EQ is fitted with a Fishman Sonitone electro-piezo system.
Simple onboard Volume and Tone controls allow the amplified sound to be adjusted directly from the guitar without cluttering the vintage styling with a large control panel.
