Description
The Eko S-300V Vintage is Eko’s take on the classic three-single-coil electric, finished here in Olympic White with an aged-white pickguard.
It’s aimed squarely at the affordable end of the market and keeps things simple: three single-coil pickups, a five-way selector, master volume, two tone controls and an Eko Stratoid tremolo bridge. In other words, exactly the sort of familiar layout most players expect from this shape of guitar.
The body is poplar, with a maple neck and Eko’s WPC composite fingerboard. The neck uses Eko’s Low C profile with a 14-inch radius, 650 mm scale and 22 small frets. Both body and neck have a gloss finish.
There’s no point dressing this one up as something exotic. It is a straightforward, inexpensive electric for somebody starting out, looking for a spare, or simply wanting the familiar Strat-style layout without spending a fortune.
And in Olympic White with the aged guard, it has a bit more old-school character than the average black beginner guitar.
