Inspired by the wonderfully unconventional British guitars of the 1960s, the Rapier 33 combines striking retro styling with three Alan Entwistle mini-humbuckers, extensive pickup switching and a traditional Hi-Lo vibrato.
It is an eccentric alternative to the usual Strat-style guitar and offers plenty of usable pickup combinations for players looking for something genuinely different.

Description
This Rapier 33 was made in China in 2020 and is finished in Daphne Blue.
The modern Rapier 33 draws its inspiration from the distinctive British guitars of the 1960s. Rather than attempting to disguise its eccentric origins, it embraces the unusual styling, multiple switches and unconventional hardware that made the original guitars so recognisable.
The okoume body is paired with a bolt-on Canadian maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. The neck has a comfortable soft C profile, 25.5 inch scale length and 22 medium-jumbo frets, together with a zero fret.
Three Alan Entwistle EWR64 twin-blade mini-humbuckers are fitted, including the characteristically angled middle pickup.
The main 3 position selector provides the neck pickup, bridge pickup or both together. One slide switch brings the middle pickup into the circuit, while the second operates a bass-cut circuit. Separate volume controls are provided for the main neck and bridge circuit and the middle pickup, together with a master tone control.
This arrangement provides considerably more pickup combinations than its retro appearance might suggest and allows the guitar to cover a useful range of sounds.
Hardware includes a roller-saddle bridge, Rapier Hi-Lo vibrato and Wilkinson E-Z-Lok tuning machines.
This guitar has remained unsold since new and is presented as new old stock in excellent showroom condition.
