EVH WOLFGANG WG STANDARD EXOTIC

EVH Wolfgang WG Standard Exotic Electric Guitar

The EVH Wolfgang WG Standard Exotic takes the distinctive Wolfgang design and gives it an eye-catching exotic-wood appearance while retaining the hardware and electronics that make the Wolfgang such a purposeful performance guitar.

The compact Wolfgang body shape is designed for comfortable playing, while the bolt-on neck uses the familiar Wolfgang backshape. A 12″-16″ compound-radius fingerboard gives the guitar a comfortable feel for chords towards the nut while progressively flattening towards the upper frets for lead playing and string bending.

There are 22 jumbo frets, while the locking nut works together with the EVH-branded Floyd Rose Special locking tremolo to provide a solid platform for expressive vibrato and more aggressive tremolo use.

EVH Wolfgang Humbucking Pickups

The EVH Wolfgang WG Standard Exotic is fitted with a pair of direct-mounted EVH Wolfgang humbucking pickups.

A three-position toggle switch selects the bridge pickup, both pickups together or the neck pickup. Separate volume and tone controls keep the layout straightforward, while the volume circuit incorporates a treble bleed circuit to help retain high-frequency clarity as the volume is reduced.

The result is a versatile HH layout particularly suited to rock and higher-gain playing while still offering useful tonal variation from the neck, bridge and combined pickup settings.

Wolfgang Performance Hardware

The EVH Wolfgang WG Standard Exotic features an EVH-branded Floyd Rose Special tremolo together with a Floyd Rose R2 locking nut. EVH-branded tuning machines and the straightforward control layout complete a guitar designed around uncomplicated, performance-focused operation.

Its combination of distinctive Wolfgang styling, dual humbuckers, locking tremolo system and compound-radius fingerboard makes the WG Standard Exotic an attractive option for players wanting the Wolfgang design without moving into the higher-priced Wolfgang ranges.

The exotic top gives the guitar an individual appearance, with the natural grain helping distinguish each instrument from a conventional solid-colour Wolfgang.
